Tooth Decay
Tooth decay is by far one of the most alarming medical issues that we face today. The nature of this medical issue does bear much bad news. The depressing part with regard to this issue is that no one is immune. Whether it is kids, teens, young adults or the aged, everyone falls victim. Of course tooth decay has one major reason to flourish at its core. Bad oral hygiene. You probably would have heard this time and time again. Always brush your teeth with toothpaste that is nationally approved by dentists. And always make sure you floss daily. The problem starts at home. They say that it is difficult to break a bad habit. So why not start a good one instead? Educate your kids on proper dental hygiene and the importance of brushing teeth regularly. Tooth decay is a process that is expedited by negligence of the bacteria that is present in our mouths. While there are good and bad bacteria present remember that certain habits help multiply the bad bacteria. You see, sugar besides being a detest thing for diabetics it is also a big ‘NO!’ for teeth.
One good practice that has been adhered to by most is to brush your teeth after every meal. True enough this may seem impossible especially when you take into consideration the fact that you eat most of your meals out. However, it is imperative that you brush and floss your teeth before you transport yourself into dreamland.
Tooth decay is serious folks! It’s about time you paid serious attention to that smile of yours. Another step in the right direction would be to avoid eating sugar especially at night before hitting the sack. Those evil bacteria will have all the time in the world to play havoc inside your mouth leading to tooth decay.
Take note here. Ignorance may be bliss but it is sure to last only a very short while. Tooth decay is no laughing or joking matter. There are even reports that serious decaying of teeth can lead to blood poisoning and more serious health complications. Complications that could see you end up in hospital as a permanent resident.
As mentioned earlier, start a good habit preferably regular maintenance of oral hygiene. Breakaway from this current state of unhygienic living and embrace the joys and happiness that is promised by health and well being. You got only one life. Enjoy it well.
